Topic: 《Dilemmas of sustainable development in China: environmental protection or economic development? A case study on a rural development project in the Loess Plateau》

中国今日的环境问题是由于过去四十年的巨大的快速经济发展。本次讲座将为您呈现一个罕见的成功故事，即经济发展与环境保护齐头并进的故事。由于创新的政策和强有力的项目管理，黄土高原的很大一部分在仅仅几年中来由原来的近乎沙漠变成一个绿色的天堂。

China´s environmental problems today are enormous because of the rapid economic development the last four decades. In this lecture, it will present the lessons of one rare success story where economic development and environmental protection went hand in hand. Due to innovative policies and strong project management a large part of the Loess Plateau changed from near-desert to a green haven in the course of only a few years.
