For foreigners in Norway, it can be difficult to find a good job without Norwegian background. The situation is getting more serious at present, after the oil industry is going down because of the low oil price. To help foreigners, particularly the new comers, CCI has very honored to have two excellent speakers, Lene Rutle and Hanne Thaugland, to give you some useful advice on how you could become a successful job seeker.

Lene Rutle is a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Frontica Advantage, Norway’s third largest recruitment company. She has more than 10 years' experience in working as a career advisor and recruiter. Lene Rutle is responsible for the outplacement program delivered in the downsizing process in the Aker companies where she worked before.

She will address the following issues regarding to some important questions in job seeking: Competence mapping – what is your key selling points? What are your key assets of value for the next employer? Communication – factors to consider when presenting your competence, and Communication in view of the receiver/your next employer.

Hanne Thaugland, is working as Head of Personnel at Handelsbanken. She is also a board member of H C Thauglands Trælastforretning A/S. After getting a Master degree in “Adult learning and human resource development”, she has gained 15 years working experience in Human Resource department so she will give you some ideas how to hit the targets described by employers from applicant's CV and application, and how to prepare a job interview foreseen from an employer's perspective.

You can bring your own questions to the seminar to gain more knowledge and skills for further change of your job and carrier.
