Introduction to CPN members


CPN is a membership-based organization and open to those who have received or are taking higher education both in China or abroad and have original root from China. Information below gives an overview of CPN members about their education degrees, subjects of education, current working organizations, and hometowns from China. Degrees of higher education

Among CPN members (110 by the end of March 2005), 30% of it has PhD degree, 50% has master degree, 18 % has bachelor degree and rest 2% is enrolled in master program in Norway. The degrees are rewarded from China, Sweden, England, The Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Swiss etc.

Subjects of education

Working organizations in Norway

CPN members are currently working and living in Norway. Most of them are engaged in the following organizations such as universities and research institutions, public and private enterprises in many sectors, governmental authorities, and industry as well. They have made their contributions to the organizations they serve to and research areas they study for. Results and achievements from their work and study have reached highly at national and international levels. They have been entitled as professor, associate professor, chief and senior researcher, chief and senior engineer, section director and project leaders and managers etc. Some of them are sent to China as representatives for Norwegian enterprises to further develop business relationships between China and Norway.
A small number of CPN members have started their own business in Norway in the form of consulting firms to serve the needs from Norwegian and Chinese enterprises in particularly from those which want to establish their connections to China and Norway.

Home Towns/Provinces of China

The connections to China that CPN has developed, sometimes are based on the cities and provinces where CPN members come from. Meetings with Chinese delegations are usually arranged by CPN board in considering the city or province match to Chinese delegations, because they often require to meet people from the same city or province.
Some CPN members are involved in the projects relevant to China or working mainly in China. Therefore, CPN has contact points/persons in big cities, i.e. Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
